In honor of National Lipstick Day, I thought I would write a post about the array of lipsticks that are currently accumulating in my purse.
So, I have a confession to make… for as much as I am thought of as a “Lipstick Lesbian”, I rarely ever wear actual lipstick. I find most lipsticks leave my lips dry and cracking. And though I own many shades, they usually end up living in my makeup abyss.
Instead, I usually opt for tinted Lip Balms or glosses. Here are a few of the shades I’m most likely to be puckering up to…
“Enriched with natural ingredients that soothe, hydrate, and plump lips, this silky-smooth treatment delivers major moisture with a hint of tint. The cooling tip soothes lips and boosts microcirculation.”
Want a tip? Apply liberally before bed for an intensive overnight treatment. Your lips will absorb the moisture while you sleep. and you’ll wake up with a full, lovely pout.
Nivea A Kiss of Cherry Fruity Lip Care $2.99
So, I may be a little biased on this one, because I am still using the original formula. What is great about this is that you get the color of a sheer, lipstick, with a hint of sparkle and shine…Plus sunscreen.
Recently, I have read that Nivea has released a new version, minus the sunscreen. If this is true, that is definitely a sad tid bit. Hopefully its just an ugly rumor…
And last, but certainly not least…
NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in Garnet Gala $2.99 (Though, I have occasionally snagged this “sweet” gloss at my local Dollar Tree!!!)
” APPLELICIOUS lip balm delivers color, shine and moisture in one single swipe! Color is fun and fruity and with a hidden apple core of care it’s also delightfully moist. The apple-shaped core reinforces the moisturizing properties of the rest of the balm and gives your lips a healthier look!”
